A lovely club day out at Porthleven Pilot Gig Club’s regatta for Mounts Bay, held in the blazing sunshine, with choppy sea conditions and a moderate breeze to challenge the rowers 
The club came away with a winners trophy for the Women’s A crew, a third for the Masters crew in the Women’s Vets/ Supervets/ Masters category ( and 1st Masters crew), and what should have been a participation medal, given that the women also competed in the Open races! 
Due to a shortage of men at this particular event, the ladies jumped into Open A, B and Vets crews, some competing in three races and most in two, as well as sharing coxing duties!
A great day was had by all
