Another busy rowing weekend for Mounts Bay, with three crews heading up to Brixham for the Vets Championships , and a Junior crew headed to Stithians Lake for the Under 14s Championships.
Womens Vets A came away with bronze medals 
after posting an emphatic win in the first heat , followed by a battle with well- known rivals Caradon and Falmouth who were 1st and 2nd respectively.
The Women’s B crew were 8th in their 1st heat, then battled fiercely in their C group final to overcome several gigs, jumping up from 10th place on the first leg, to a close 5th place over the finish line, placing 29th overall.
The Open A crew raced to 2nd place in their first heat, and was up in the mix at the front of their final, posting a fantastic 5th place to winners Falmouth.
The juniors once again impressed us, racing their hearts out to a first mixed crew place 
at the Under 14s Championships, missing a spot in the final 3 by a mere 3 seconds, and placing 4th overall, the title taken by St Mary’s.
